One very SAD SE-L

There's an SE-L at my junkyard that I've basically stripped down to the bone. When I got to it, the engine was gone and so were the wheels, the rear (disc brakes) bar, and the right sideskirt.

I proceded to take what I wanted to get throughout various trips to the JY. I got the Tails, Grey centerbar, left sideskirt, cluster, 3rd brakelight (I needed to replace mine) and alot of the interior.

The interior was on my last trip. I wanted to replace my grey interior with the nice black interior of the SE-L. Well, I got what I wanted and I took it home. I noticed theat the black was a bit strange from piece to piece and there was some color to some. Well, I decided to sand them down and repaint (I'm gonna have to do that anyway). What did I find under the black PAINT?!?!?!

LIME GREEN!!!!

and HOT PINK

During this poor SE-L's short 59,000 Mile life, it had gone through ricehood and back. I am pissed that I have all this sanding to do now, and I am horrified that anyone could be so tasteless to do this (especially to a Black SE-L with a Black interior).

Well, I gotta sand anyway, some of them are replacement parts, but when I saw that, I figured I'm gonna go for a smooth black.

All I can say is have fun. When I bought my max, someone had some ghetto ass wood trim kit on it. I took it off and had to sand everything to get that 3m adhesive off. It was a pain in the ass, but after I was done, and painted it silver, it came out pretty good.

ya, it'll look good in the end. I'm planning a gloss black for ALL the grey panels and silver accents on the other panels (the ones that are silver now).

thats what you get for not sending it to me . the black interior is soooo nice. i feel bad for that car, and even worse for you. that's shitty. i can ALMOST see lime green being cool, but HOT PINK? WTF. either way, black is the cleanest and most beautiful. for anyone to fuck with that MUST BE A RICER! AGGGHHGHH.
good luck justin!

Lime green...maybe, but never on an SE-L or any car that came with a black interior. Hot pink is just disgusting, but the most hideous thing is it was that apparently, hot pink and lime green were in the car AT THE SAME TIME. Some pieces were green, some were pink.

The pink and green are probably from the markers that they use to write down the part numbers for their inventory. They are frequently pink and green. Also white. Somehow it either melted or got sanded or washed out.

only in small areas or as numbers, you can tell that the entire thing was spray painted green or pink, and then repainted black. They did a horrible job too.
