it's rumored to have an SR in there, but i haven't found any engine bay shots... supposedly 180hp, so it might be an SR20VE... all i know is that it is a Nissan 2 liter.
When do I think were getting it? Uh, NEVER! Or it will be 115 hp!
But wow, that thing sure is unique and nice looking. It even looks fast standing still. It looks like some Top Secret stuff with the black color scheme and those looks. I would defenitely cop me one of those.

whoops... crappy low res-pic... thought that circle was a head light!
...but it definitely is a nissan... several websites have positively id'd it as a 1998cc Nissan engine, but nobody's saying what engine or variant it is... all pure speculation at this point... but i think if it were a honda engine, someone would have speculated B18 already... hard finding info on this in english!

hmmmh... finally confirmed! thanks!... Lotus is doing some work (last i heard) on making the elise street-legal for the US... maybe the japanese will follow? unfortunately, the projected price of the Garaiya is around $35,000 (this is very preliminary, so don't flame me if it's wrong) versus around 25-27 thou for the Elise, so it's going to be a bit harder to sell...
