Like half of every car i see that has a body kit are not done, i see many local cars that have attemted to put on a body kit just end up having a bunch of jumbled mismatched pieces of plastic which end up making the car look like a bad toy hotwheels. Now i understand some people have just put on these pieces and havnt got around to painting yet. But alot of people i see locally always have it like that.
I mean come on you put on the kit trying to make the car look better and then run out of money and cant paint it so they just leave it looking soooooo disgusting. If people used their brains and budgeted a little maby we wouldnt see half 1/3 tan 1/3 blue 1/3 white 300zx's running around town. I just dont see how people can be that stupid. Well thats all my ranting.
I know exactly what you mean... there are two black ricer civics running around my neighborhood with blue front bumpers and gray side skirts... these cars have been that way for quite a while....I guess they think that just cuz they HAVE a bodykit it doesnt matter what color it is.... ha, they suck
Some people just plain run out of money or motivation to finish this stuff.Heck, my B14 is running around town with no grille, a blue fender, black primer hood,a torn bumper cover and a platinum gold body because I ran out of money to properly finish it,(It was bought as a wreck)and I really needed to use it.

There's a difference between not having the money to finish a car up and not having enough money to finish but still spending all day cruising around town in it. That's time that could go towards making it un-assugly.

I don't see why people even bother putting them on until they know they have the money to get it painted. My one friend has just a black front bumper on his Silver Cougar, and he tries to tell me he just wanted to make sure it fit right. I was like, ok, so see if it fits, then put the stock bumper back on. Enough of my ranting though, I think everything has pretty much been said on this topic.
I have to agree on this one I never understood that in fact I saw that today this guy in 2nd gen integra with altezzas and black hood (wasn't C/F) a white front bumper. Car was silver. Oh and had a black 3-piece mid wing. The funniest thing about it was he swore I was trying to race him just because I was driving fast he shit was stock anyway just had it lowered. The bumper looked crooked too probably got in an accident or something.

I HATE rice. I don't understand why people put unpainted kits on. It would look so much better if you waited to put it all on. Buy the front bumper, wait, the side skirts, wait, the rear, wait... then paint and install. That way when I see you parked at the local spot you always park, I turn and look... wow he hooked his car up. Not, oh he got a bumper, oh he got skirts, oh get another wack bumper, DAMN, he finally got that crap painted.
Oh... horrible ricer at Home Depot. He works there because I always cut through their lot to get to my job and see it. Has a late 80's/early 90's Ford Probe. His spoiler his an inverted bug shield held up by two metals sticks. HORRIBLE. I'll start a thread once I get my pics developed and scan them.
Maybe they have put it on to ensure a good fit prior to painting it. Some kit makers suggest leaving it on for a month or so, prior to painting, or else the paint may crack.
