of course they are paid... the do a job, they get paid... Do you mean "paid off"? to make certain calls go the way of certain teams???

Hell no... you win some you lose some...it all equals out in the end... Humans make mistakes...it happens in all sports.

Some people say some NFL games are fixed... the way last season has been refereed I can't positively say that ain't true.. and it's easier to 'mess up' in basketball I think, so who knows.

to anyone watching the spurs/lakers game

set aside your bias views and pay attention to how the calls are being made. THEN vote on this poll.

come on get serious.... There is no postiveness that could ever come out of the NFL fixing games. If it got out it would ruin the league...any league... We are talking about Billions of dollars made by owners, players and supporting businesses There is no way they would allow the intrgirity to be compromised and risk losing Billions of dollars... They don't care who wins, they only care about people watching and spending coin on the products associated with it...

Most of the sports that have been fixed in the past are usually dealing with less paid people, like college players or low rate boxers...

Bad calls are going to happen....period... it doesn't mean it was fixed.

Well, I am a sceptic. I love watching sports myself and would be very disappointed if I found that games were in fact fixed, but when it comes to big $$$ there is always somone who has already found a backdoor and exploiting the situation and I just can't say for 100% that there isn't some dirty element involved when it comes to sports gambling.
Sometime ago I saw an HBO special about sports gambling fixing the games in the 80s. It featured some dirty tape on rev. Al Sharpton, don't know if anyone saw it..

You know what's funny about what you are talking as far bullshit calls one way and not another is the exact same thing people were talking about down in san antonio no double standards here.

there are no double standards..i meant in no way...for it too look like it was like that today only..i meant all the time..and as far as the "CAPS ON" go....thank you for letting me know they mean "yelling".....i dont want to have people thinking i am being over-aggresive while i type......

and another thing......koopa...i understand what you say about the damage it would to sports in general....but on the same note...elections and alot of political things are rigged just the same..as much as i hate to say it...sports in general brings in billions of millions of dollars....do you think something is not going on "behind" closed doors...if its not the players we look up too, it maybe the greedy owners and whatnot.....i would hate to see this come true and sports to revolve around a "fixed" money organization...

i mean no disrespect to anyone i respect all opinions, i just wish you view my opinions the same.....peace.....

my dancing banana thanx you .!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

a lot of you guys are saying that the nba can't be fixed because it would damage the league so severly that no one would ever watch it again.... so what? do you think that cheaters think in the long term? no. they're only after the money that can be made off of a winner. everyone loves a winner right? how much money do you think the nba has made off kobe bryant and shaq? i'm talking: royalties, ticket sales in l.a., money from commercials, anything that would be sold simply because it has kobe on it.

now i was watching the spurs game last night, the lakers won by the way. and all i saw was kobe with 17/19 FREE THROWS! is that just a coincidence? maybe kobe is really good at drawing fouls? and it wasn't just kobe that was getting a lot of calls, it was the entire laker team. the refs weren't calling very many fouls on the spurs side, but they would call EVERYTHING on the lakers side, even if there wasn't a foul.

i'm going to make a prediction: in the next 5 years the secret will be let out and the nba officials will confess that the nba is fixed and the refs are TOLD, not necessarily paid, to call the games one-sidedly.
