well, i wouldnt say people that mod their cars here in cali are happy about the emissions stuff, but overall its good because that way were breathing better air....pretty much just dont remove your catalytic converter because u wont get hp gains and its just dumb

Just put on a high flow cat, The Illest Rice. Works just as well. That way you can stay legal. Taking it off is dumb. Cali's rules suck for smog, I hate them.

Basically in cali the rule is this, if it makes your car faster, louder, brighter, or in any way draws attention to itself. A cop will eventually pull you over. I guess it depends on where you live, if you live in SoCal like LA/San Diego where street racing is a pretty big problem then you will get picked on more. Cops is SD area have been to special classes taught by CARB officials and refs on how the notice mods. I had no front plate and that was all they needed as an excuse to pull me over. After that it was all over, pop the hood, find your mods, send you to ref and then it's basically pass or pay the big fine and risk having your car impounded. I passed but if they catch me again with simular mods on the same car, they can impound my car on the spot. Also new law was just passed that says if they catch you drag racing on the street they can seize your car, no impound, just straight take it and keep it

thanks for the info again, that helps! if anyone else has a their own thoughts or feelings on the emission rules please post...it will be greatly appreciated! one more thing...i just want to see how many people here are ...
"ALL-HP" = 'those who say, 'the hell with the rules!!!!'' or
settle for "FRIENDLY-HP" = 'want the hp but care for the rules and can live with it'

if you guys know what i mean???

also...i want to give you guys full credit for the info and viewpoints you posted for me... so if you want to be fully credited in my report and presentation post your names or email them to me,,, make up a name if you wont like your real one in my report...again thanks alot!!
