I might be geting my Z back
This is a very intresting occurance today,
I recived a note saying that there was a certified letter for me, so I went to the post office on the way to work this morning and picked it up. It was from the city of omaha.
Aparently my '88 300ZX that I traded in last year (to get my sentra) was never re-registered by the next owner. The car was stollen and the Omaha PD recovered it and sent me a letter saying the investigation was over so I can come pick my car up!!!
I should give some back ground, I bought the Z last year after my 200sx was toatled in an accident. The motor had been rebuilt about 45,000 mi earlier and it ran great. Shortly after I bought it the mass air meeter went out, the cheapest I could find for a new one was $1,000. I only paid $1,200 for the car so I thought it wasn't worth it. I then traded it in. Since I wasn't 21 yet my parents co-signed and threw alot of weight in the decision, so I got stuck with my automatic sentra, that I have just dumped lots of money into and I need to replace the tranny now!
I'm going to be honest about this whole situation, I'm going to try to find the person that bought it and see if they want it back, then I'll help them get it back if they want it. If they don't I'm going to get it back.
I'm excited about this, because if I get it back, I'm going to race prep it.
I miss it so much---5-speed---t-tops---2 seats---and powerful V-6 that beats civics and neons left and right, and drifts pretty well too.
I'll keep you guys updated on what happens.

When a grisly killing spree in Vancouver left 15 women dead, PETA tried to purchase full-page ads in local papers suggesting that this carnage was no worse than the killing of animals for food.
