Nissan needs to get in this turbo all-wheel drive orgy!!

You got the EVO VII and 8 and the WRX and new WRX Sti, plus the FWD Mazdaspeed Protege and Neon SRT-4(finally a neon i would actually want) Nissan should get in this and show them all what all this Shift_ shit is all about. All they need to do is take the sentra( I wish they would go back to B14 chassis and use the Almera ) Use the AWD Sunny GtiR powertrain, give it the ATTESSA system from the skyline and power it with the SR20VET with FMIC and either water or optional nitrous fogger system. (Mods to the B14 chassis would be a better suspension geometry, one piece black projectors with HID, Rolled out fenders, ability to fit 19's with 35 series tires,"cool" taillights{kind of like on the G35 coupe} and a interior like the Sentra Exalta but with brushed aluminum instead of woodgrain and either black or two tone grey colors)

you know how theres all of these turbocharged compacts out now. how about nissan get into the battle between the EVO 8 and WRX Sti by releasing a sentra with a AWD powertrain (from the Sunny GTiR) and powered by the new SR20VET(from the Japan only X-trail) and have that engine have a front mount intercooler with optional nitrous fogger system. The rest was how i rather have it on a updated B14 chassis since i like it better than the b15. It would be cool if they used the Almera which is a Hatchback sentra and the updates would be a better suspension, larger wheel wells that could fit 19's without bieng a lowrider, the one-piece projectors everyone with a b14 wants with HID, taillights that look cool instead of just bieng there like the ones on the Infiniti G35 coupe.

I agree that nissan needs to show the US how nice their cars are and release a turbo and maybe even all wheel drive platform here, but I doubt it would be on the b14 platform or use a SR20VET. Tho I agree with you that would be an awesome combo. I think maybe a S15 platform rear wheel drive would be $$$

i know if nissan were to do it would be on the B15 but damn i hate the rear end of the new sentras. it looks dorky as fuck as if it were made by ford or something (think about the awkwardness of the rear end on a contour) I still think a B14 with a GTR kit would look way sicker overall than the b15 just because of the awkward ass rear end on them. how come everything else in nissans new line-up is sticking if not beating Lexus's in looks and performance but the Sentra still barely looks better than American compacts (even though the spec V still whips every naturally aspirated 4 banger and probally a few V-6's) I would probally powered by a turbo Spec V engine even though it would be smarter to use the tried-true SR20DET. Off topic but do you guys think Nissan will ever top the RB26DETT? the R35 supposed to have a V8 in it which would probally come from the Q45. wouldn't be sick if they could make a RB45DE where they just turned the RB26 into a V8 and it would everybit as strong as the old RB with lower compression pistons ect.

Nissan doesn't have the balls to bring over the SR20VE, SR20DET, or SR20VET.

Subaru, Mitsubishi, Dodge, & Mazda are gonna gain a lot of marketshare. I'm looking at the new EVO VIII myself.

its not that, nissan just doesnt wanna have an affordable car that looks great and halls plenty of balls because that is what the 350z is for and the g35.......it would be stupid for them to make such a thing because it would take away from the other cars' sales

I agree with this. I own an Almera GTI. This uses the SR20DE engine. Its a hatch back that the New civic type R looks simaler to.
My car pretty much kicks ass as it is. Standard with between 143 and 150 HP. with an SR20VE it would just be so fast. It would pull 0-60 in under 7 seconds and do 1/4 miles in the high 13s to 14s. Now an SR20VET install would make my car rule the road. your talking 230-250 HP. I dont know about adding a 4WD tranny tho. I think you loose to much power to the wheels. There is plenty to talk about but it aint gona happen. They wouldn loose sales to other models tho cause people who drive in sentra's etc are not all enthusiasts. We make up a minority. If they sold it for 18K pounds and the car was perfect they would make so many sales here in the UK

obviously those other cars you mentioned arent about looks though, i wouldnt exactly call the new neon, EVO, or WRX pretty by any means. Fast yes, good looking, no. So the ugly b15 tails would fit right in to the crowd

The EvoVIII is a nice way to go, i was reading up on the lancer evo forums and they seem to hold alot of boost on stock internals(not that you should), it just seems like a promising car, Although if i was in the market then i would get a WRX STI.

First of all the B14 is a TERRIBLE chassis. It would take a complete rear-end suspension redesign. Beam axle is terrible for handling. The B15 chassis is essentially the same and also would not work. The B13/B12 chassis would work well as the B12 was built with 4WD, but those are too old and too small for a modern car. I'd like to see a small sedan styled like the S15. I think the design could incorporate 4 doors without too much trouble. Hell they should base the entire car on a slightly S15 platform except using the SR20VET engine, and the ATTESSA AWD system. Now chances are that Nissan will never build a car like this, but I can dream.

BTW the SE-R Spec-V was supposed to be the Protege/Neon/GTi/Focus fighter but it failed pretty badly.

yeah the japanese saviour where is north americas? the 350z? i love it but it has too much incommon with other infinity's and other nissan models it's not original i would rather have the altima with the back seat
