here is the short story:
my sister was driving my car with her friend in the passenger seat... cause someone slashed tires on hers... when she was driving she comes to an intersection with a green light her way, and a guy to her right waiting to make a left. From far away she can see that the car waiting for a left(ford escort) was anxious and inching forward. Soo she crosses the intersection along with a car in the left lane next to her and another behind, and by the time she reaches the middle the ford moves, my sister sees this but cant do anything cause she is surrounded by other cars ... so the ford T-bones her on the right.... leaving the aftermath detail out here is the damage report in pics......... (more pics below)
as of now my mods are on hold indefinitely,.. and my parts are pending on my decision of selling them....

Well,
It just looks like you need a new outer panel for your door. Allthe innards you would keep, just transfer them over. As for the quarter panel, from those shots, it doesn't seem like serious damage. Sort of like getting hit by a shopping cart. Thats a cheap body shop fix. They would have to re-spray the entire passenger side though.
man ... it looks bad...
but it can be fixed unless the ford didn't have insurance... Or you could be fully covered... But your car value just took a dive...
I hope you get everthing fixed.... you can even pic up some Z3 fenders now and maybe have a little insurance money left for some side skirts...
Atleast everone is ok.....

Insurance should cover all of that stuff... and usually, they over estimate costs, then you'll have some extra money for other mods. I got to get my whole car repainted from just a right fender bump... of course, it was the maaco special, but still..

hot chicks aren't going to be like...."hey i think i'm tired of these buffed guys on stage with big dicks and shaved balls...but wow, check out that fat balding nerd with hair coming out of his turtleneck sitting in the corner there...mmmmm"
so why isn't the other guys insurance covering it? what's your car book at and what's the damage? if the damage is like 2k (after paint it probably will be if not more) you may want to sell the car as-is and buy an ser and just have a little bit to pay... i would love to do that. the trick is getting money for your car when it's messed up.

Well, if fixing the car is more than the blue book value, they'll label it totalled and that's what he'd have to do. Hopefully that's not the case... it's usually the frame work damage that causes the "totalled" label. They'll give you the blue book value for the car though and like mirage said, you could go get an ser, or a 99 sel if you can find one..

my plan is that if its labeled "totaled" or "salvage" ill get the KBB value of the car, then sell all my mods that are currently in it soo...
~$2000-3000 for the car + ~$500-1000 parting out the car + ~$100-200 selling car to junkyard + ~$1000 pain & suffering == ~$3600 -- ~$5000
and i have already found a white '96 SE-R 5-speed for $4995 in my local autotrader from a toyota used car dealer , so it can be financed
