Cool The Celica is MINE!!!

AWESOME NEWS!!! I will soon be the proud owner of a 1985 Toyota Celica GT! and he even dropped the price, im getting it for 200 bucks.

My best friends mom and him had a falling out and she hid the car from him, and she said she would only tell him where it was after thecar was in MY name so he couldnt have it. He dosent want it anyway, but isnt that cold? Ouch i hope him and his mom dont stay like this forever!

Anyways just thought id share with ya...drift here i come.

sweet! Now all you need to do is put the celica engine in the Trunk of your sentra and then run a 2 engine setup like that Tiburon in SCC about a year back

Okey, I Got The Celica! On the way home from picking it up, the front brakes went out and i almostr rear ended my friends truck so i got it home and looked at the front brakes, i thought it needed calipers, but when i took it apart, thier was no friction material on the drivers side and very little on the passenger side, and the calipers were stuck all the way open, it was a b!tch trying to get the old calipers to retract, but once i did, and I took the rotors up to work and resurfaced them, and put new pads and repacked the bearings, she will stop on a dime.

The muffler was also toasted so i put a Dynomax on there, changed the oil and thats it so far.

umm...So far (two days) we have a 1993ish Plymoth acclaim, a 1995ish lumina, and a escort gt under our belts from a stop, and a new beetle from a 55 roll. No big deals there, but ive only had the car 3 days

I saw a white Celica GT-S last night, it was an 86. Is that almost the same as the one your getting?

No, its actually completely different, 86+ seen a new body style and FWD instead of RWD

That's running what, a 4A-GZE or 4A-GE? Have fun with the RWD. I knew a guy that has one. My B12 owned him, but the Celica sounded like it ran like shit.

From what ive heard (and i havent dont much research yet) its a 22R 2.4 SOHC, and the chiltons manual says that in 1985 only, the celica came with a beefed up 116HP@4800 and 137Ft Lbs@2800 as opposed to 105HP and 115FT Lbs.

im recalling these numbers from memory, and its 2:05AM my time. But i think they are very close to accurate
