Exclamation LOOK Calling It NOS

I think its fine to call it NOS. Its like calling tissue Kleenex. That's a name brand and people still call it Kleenex. Or, Windex when it can be Safeway brand. Come on people, all because people call it "NOS" don't get mad. NOS stands for Nitrous Oxide Systems, and guess what, you put a nitrous oxide system in your car. So calling it NOS is kinda correct, its just abreviating the words.

I dis-agree as well....

what your saying in essence is that I can call ANY car a ford because people know ford makes only cars. Thats fucking rediculous.

Hey,
I gotta run to the office and make a xerox.
Umm do you have 'headers' on your I-4?
Hey, my new computer is an IBM-PC not a Mac. I got it at Dell.
The tissue vs. kleenex was already covered.

Seth

P.S. Hey thats a nice chevy cavalier. Where'd you get that body kit? I didn't know you were into the IMPORT scene.

OK I'll bite

Purely for the sake of arguement

I never use the term Xerox I make copies of things
I never use headers in the plural for a 4 cylinder car...tho many people do
I use the term IBM Compatable because the industry uses that term, look at softwars boxes they say for use with IMB compatable computers or they will say Mac, of course the reson for this is that IBM did not pattent their computer design like Mac did the result is IBM 'clones' (another term I use quite often).

Back on topic, I do say Nos to describe a Nitrous system.

How about people riding on Roolerblades or going Roolerblading, that one always bugged me...I dont own Roolerblades

I think it all comes down to preference, and what you originally learned, as long as I understand what people are saying and they understand me, I try not to stress it.
