My car died on they highway going to church yesterday. Found out today its my alternator. I can't wait to get my car back from the shop because I hate being without transportation.

Why do those GA16DE engines always eat their alternators?!?!? My dad as gone through two in a year and a half, and his car is only a '98. It's not even old!!

I think it's because the alternator sits so close to the manifold and on CA models it sits right next to a CAT!
