recommend?

I have been looking at cars on EBay recently. They seem to be quite a bit cheaper then buying from a private seller locally and from a dealer. I am kind of going back and forth. The cars are cheaper but there may be problems with it and I will not know until I have already won the auction and have recieved the car. Do yall recommend getting a car from EBay or not? And if so, any users that you do recommend?

Hey, I got my 200sx from ebay. It was from this auction place 10 minutes away from my house. I bought, it and then went over there and picked it up, no problems. But then my parents bought another car from the same guy, and when we went there to pick it up, it was in pretty bad shape. Like, they must have had a dog or something, cause the inside was scratched, and some buttons didnt work. Since we didnt take it, somewhere (in the agreement clause) it said that if you dont take the car, you had to pay $1,000 so we took it to court and we lost, since the agreement was there. So I guess it can be good or bad to get a car from ebay, depending on the person.

PS. The auction place does this several times a week one of the officials said. He gets serious money from "ripping" people off and getting the $1,000. But he wins since it states it in the contract or something.

I guess what I am going to have to do is just find an auction that is located near me and just go check out the car myself. I have had several friends get cars from EBay and they all have had minor problems, which were fixed easily. But, I have never found anyone who was 100% happy. You get what you pay for.

I've almost bought a couple cars on ebay, but never actually did. I have, however, bought a car online from an individual. What I always do is either go look at the car myself, or ask a TRUSTED friend in the area to check it out for me.

Where in NC are you??? There are some good Auctions in Asheville on Thursdays and in Fletcher on Tuesdays.. Might have the days backward.
