How do you get that elusive new car smell. the new car smell pine trees don't give you the smell, i brought a spray from advance auto that says new car smell but it doesn't smell the same. I think i need to go to a dealer and actually refresh my mind on what a new car actually smells like since i haven't been in one for so long. I know there is some fragrance that gives you this smell since even a used car can have the new car smell went brought from the dealer. I could go to a dealer but they would probally want a arm and a leg for it.
any know how to adjust the HVAC settings so its warm in the car but the windows don't fog up?

I watched an episode on dateline or one of those shows and they said that the chemicals that give off the new car smell actually cause cancer. Car companies are working with new interior materials that dont give off the smell! I saw a spray at advance that gives off the new car smell, it cost around $2.99. The smell didnt last long though.
Edit: I didnt read the entire post. I just read that you also bought that spray. Its 10 pm, give me a break.

I'm always stupified by the number of people who don't know how to defog their windows.
1 - Set vents to fresh, not recirculate and to the defrost setting
2 - Set your blower to high
3 - Heat on hot setting
4 - AC ON, if you have it. Contrary to popular belief, AC will not make your car cold if you have it on with the temp set to hot. What it will do is remove the moisture from the air.
5 - Crack a freakin window.
