About 3 years ago when I first bought my car the Nissan community was at its peak, lot of good people giving out good info. Then about a year and a half ago it all died when Nissan performance mag when off line. My question is what happen to the community? As the community gets smaller parts become more expensive, and good info becomes much harder to find. I really wish that the Community would come back to life.

not dead at all, in fact, if you read modified or attend shows, youll see that it is indeed alive and kicking.
nissan is very active and so are the enthusiasts.
this forum used to be VERY active and when the new management took over, it more or less killed it. its coming back slowly, but its nowhere near the strength it used to be though. there are other nissan communities that are doing very well though.
I agree with asleep...it may be slow now but according to the site stats you can tell it is getting busier. Just may not seem like it in the areas you frequent most.

Well I just recently got back on the forums because I'm about to replace my engine and was shocked that the last post was almost a week old in the b14 forum. Back when i was on everyday there was at least 2 new post a hour. I guess my question was more toward what killed the b14 community. I heard some talk about wes, or my young getting in a very bad wreck. Any truth to this?

Yeah, I agree with zachmccool and have noticed the same thing going on in the B14 forum as well. I had to stop and remind myself that the B14 despited the fact that the S13 and S14 are just as old, it's unlikely that the B14 will have the same staying power as the 240SX models. Still love my B14 though... :-)
Unfortunately, I do hear a lot more people talk about Honda and Toyota than I do Nissan. Though I do think this is changing with the new Altima and 350z.. The last I REALLY heard a LOT about Nissan were the days of the original SE-R and 300TT...

Well, ever since the original NF was taken over, the community kept getting smaller. Apparently it recovered. Many of the original guys i know back then transferred to other brands. I myself stayed loyal to the Nissan Marque.
As of now, our local Nissan Enthusiast site in the PI is growing by leaps and bounds. Nissanbayan Forums It is growing globally.
