For the first time ever, the Japanese Touring Car series is going to be shown in English on Speed TV on Monday 1/13 at 7-8:30pm MTN time. Go to speedtv.com for more info on your timeslot.
Watch it if you are interested in watching what we call imports doing some real racing; you know... road racing.
For all those in the pacific time zone the JGTC, listed as Japan Touring Cars, will be on twice tonight at:
6pm-7:30pm
then repeated at
11pm-12:30am

fyi:
Speedvision is doing one season to see if it worth it for them to do it again. If you want to see more racing, not NASCAR, on TV we got to get the ratings up.
**Road racing forever**.
Don't forget F1 starts down under in March!
thanks

Hopefully they will have such a good response to this they will start playing 22 hours of JGTC instead of all nascar.
I only like watching nascar races when they racr on the road courses, like sears point. They are not designed for those windy roads and its just so funny to watch
When a grisly killing spree in Vancouver left 15 women dead, PETA tried to purchase full-page ads in local papers suggesting that this carnage was no worse than the killing of animals for food.
I checked my local time slots for the Speed Channel and did not find a listing for the JGTC. I don't know if it's a regional thing or what ... ? Anyone have any insight?

Speed uses the same feed for the whole country and then they ussually repeat the evening programming after 8pm sometime.

Well I watched it for the first time and it was better than I thought. 30min highlight shows of each race but the way it was set up you thought everything was happening moment by moment.
They showed the first 3 races of the 2002 season that all took place in japan during Mar and Apr(i think) of '02. Hey that was the same time I bought my Spec V, anyway the NIssans in the top class were of course, Skylines, but they did not fare well. Nissan factory teams raced 1 yr old skylines the first two races and than a brand new version surfaced for the third race. Our best finish in the three races Speed showed tonight was a 4th place by a '01 Skyline in the third race, the new car finished somewhere down by 9th.
Toyota was the hot team with several Supras but the "Honda" NSX's were fast too!

It was dope. Toyota was on top and their Supras were bad. Definitely wanted to see more Skylines on top (those cars look so nice, they get me excited if you know what I mean...)
Just a couple things I didn't enjoy. They highlighted each crash every five minutes then went to commercial. It got annoying after the first 10 minutes and there was already 4 commercial breaks. Ah well, it was still some tight racing.
Just to let everyone know, here is the complete schedule and Times in EST for all of the JGTC showings. I believe each date is a new set of shows and the 1st set of three 30 minute shows are just repeated later in the morning of the next day. (Depending on time zone)
