GONE! Obviously, *THEY* don't like us talking bad about 'their' board.
Who would have expected that our thread and all evidence of it would be deleted?
Maybe I missed something.

It seems like they may be trying to appeal to new users, or a new userbase. Because if they gave a what about any of the old users then you would think theyd show it.
I dunno, I dont really care much about the layout change, as long as it serves its purpose. There are a few things I would change but ill leave that to be unsaid.
I think its a good thing for the new owners to have somewhat of a fresh start, they probably want to feel like "they" are a part of what they bought, so they added their touches to the site. But like you said it, who are these boards really for, it seems to be in question as of now...

It wasn't really anything exceptional, just a few of us talking about how much the new stuff sucks, and I said something about the front page.
I'm don't really care about the topic itself, just that such an insignificant discussion gets deleted because 'they' didn't agree with it.
Seems kind of intrusive, as it seems of late.

fuck that, they sure seem to notice the negativity. whereas if we were all happy and chipper they would just trot along spreading their crap around. i beleive it was me that made that thread and i will continue to let them know i am very unhappy with the massive amounts of change they are doing. they have driven away nearly EVERY member that made this message board such an amazing gaggle of information. they have shot them selves in the foot with that one.

the board is already coming back to life. even amidst all the negativity. just hit "new posts" and you can see that. you guys seem to forget that this is the internet. you can come and go as you please. if you dont like it here - dont come back. if you like it here - then by all means, please stay. the negativity isnt going to improve the board. being positive and helping out will. the censoring was done at first because people were blatantly trying to pull members from here and recruit them elsewhere. it just doesnt work that way. these boards, even the "rival" boards will do much better if everyone co-operated and got along. info would be much more plentiful and everyone would benefit from it.
all im saying is people were banned because they didnt like the massive and i mean MASSIVE amounts of chagne that took place with nearly no warning. granted i have now become aware of the ban having been lifted, and that is deffinatly a big step in the right direction......but this will never feel like home again
if they want the older members back they need to tone it down, atleast for alittle while and ease the changes in slowly. if someone knocked your home over right now and rebuilt it while you were away and expected you to still feel warm and fuzzy when you walked in........would you?

i understand your point. im just asking you to understand ours. i was here before the regime change and im still here. i still enjoy this board. i "live" on this one just like you and i also spend plenty of time on others as well. change is inevitable. it will happen no matter what. sometimes change doesnt seem like its for the best - sometimes its not. this board will continue though. new people will come here and make it their home as well. you can stay and be part of it, or you can decide you dont like it and leave. as far as no warning goes - how do you think we, as moderators and staff felt? we didnt know either. we too had the choice of leaving or staying. i chose to stay. the people that were banned, got banned for other reasons, not solely for not liking the changes. like you said yourself, the ban is being lifted. we are hoping that some of the older members come back again. like i said before, this place can once again become a great place for info and hanging out if all the boards cooperate with each other. we all have a common thread - a love for our nissans. lets try and keep it at that.
as long as theres newbs bro - there will always be tech questions to answer.
