seen it before... i think it is a man made quicksand to prank them. i thought quicksand can only be found in the jungle.

Nope some beachs have quick sand. All quick sand is is when the density of the sand is greatly decreased i think. My mom was telling me about this delta in africa she went to. There was quick sand in the middle of the water. at a beach.
So were those guys Canadian Or English?

Well since they are in desert camo that excludes Canada (and since they are carrying acctual weapons
)
I doubt it was the Englsh, but I could be wrong. The uniform looks like American camo from the late years of the second world war
And I have almost lost a work boot to quick sand at my cottage so its not just in the jungle
