PLANE CRASH AT MANCHESTER AIRPORT

I decided to take what's known as Perimeter Rd. to work today, to bypass the morning traffic as I was running late. Get ready to take a fast 90* turn near the end of the airport, and a plane crashes into the woods about 1/4 mileaway from the runway.

Holy shit.

I hurry over to see where it landed, and before I can even get close to it, its already shut down by hazmat crews and at least 12 localfire trucks, and a handfull of police.

I'll let ya know more as it becomes availible.

Prayers out to all families involved.

MANCHESTER, N.H. The pilot of a small cargo plane that crashed into a Wal-Mart garden center a mile from Manchester (New Hampshire) Airport this morning says he is lucky to be alive.

Thirty-two-year-old Paul Seyler-Schmidt, of Bangor, was listed in fair condition at Elliot Hospital. In a statement, he thanked everyone who helped rescue him and said he was glad no one on the ground was injured.

The store was evacuated after the twin-engine Embraer clipped the store's garden center at seven-20.

The Federal Aviation Administration said the plane was bound for Bangor, Maine.

Seyler-Schmidt, who had recently moved to Maine from Wilmington, N.C., and has been flying for over 10 years, was delivering cargo on a routine run for United Parcel Service.

A spokesman at Manchester Airport said the flights were uninterrupted by the crash.

It was probably an Embraer EMB 120 Brasilia turboprop converted for cargo hauling.
