I know there are some nissan guys in here so here's the deal, there is this troll in my other site and he won't tell us what kind of car/engine he has, so I ask that you help me identify it with this 2 pictures he posted, I wanna say it's a nissan ca18et or similar SOHC engine but I'm not sure because he said it was 2.7L/rwd (most likely bored/stroked and also most likely swapped on another car), what do you guys think? also if you can name any technicalities that you see let me know

You might be right...there was a VQ25dd used in the Cefiro.

I am KA stupid but there was also a KA24de and KA24e made as well. Much more popular and easier to find than a VQ25dd, iirc.

That's the closest I think you could get with boring/stroking to a 2.7...?

Could be an RB series motor. Rb25 could be bored/stroked to a 2.7.

It's not a VQ either then. Looks like it's SOHC, 4cyl, RWD, and it's not a KA24e. What are the other options?

can't be an RB or a KA because the intake is on the wrong side but the odd part is that the valve cover looks like an E series motor

Is that even a Nissan engine? I think all inline RWD Nissan motors have intakes on the passenger side.

Can you bore/stroke a 1.6 to a 2.7?
...although now that I say that I notice the original thread starter isn't even sure.

some more informations would be nice like what country he is in and what kind of car he says he drives. Granted it it is probally a swap it is possible it could have been the origonal engine. From the size of the engine bay I can say either it is an extremely small motor or it is not a small sedan such a sentra, civic, etc. Also it looks like the ignition wire is on the right hand side. Which means it is not in the united states or atleast not legally.
