Mitsubishi’s Cypress, Calif. design center conceived the Eclipse Ralliart to showcase the new coupe’s performance potential. Horsepower is up to an estimated 400, thanks to a modified 4G63 turbocharged four-cylinder transplanted from the Evo VIII. In a nod to Eclipses past, the car also gets the Lancer’s all-wheel-drive system. Other changes include carbon fiber exterior panels and clutch, 20-inch wheels, custom exhaust, coil-over suspension, Brembo brakes and a racing-inspired interior.
Too bad they had to transplant a different engine into it...
...one thing I am starting to really 'not like' about the new Eclipses? The damn front side windows...why the hell is there a window in front of the side view mirrors?

I'm loving the fact that they boosted a 4cyl and made it AWD. The window near the side view reminds me of older domestics that use to have it. However, on the domestics it opened. I even like the over-all looks of the car.

It's the same 4-cyl from the Evo VIII...The AWD is from the Lancer. Nothing really 'innovative' from Mitsu.
