Meh, Im partial to the torque, the sound ect...

4g63 does own the EJ series in the ease of modification though. MY engine bay looks like the surface of mars. I have no clue what Im looking at, well except for a few obvious things.

Also in sheer power capability. That little 2.0 can throw down 450 Hp before the guts ever need to be touched. Aren't a whole lot of engines can do that.

Yeah, I've seen a 450whp EJ20 with stock bottom end and head. New pistons and rods though.

4G63 is my all time favorite motor. Hands down, kick his ass.

I've watched a lot of EJ20s come apart at 350 Hp. And the engine block has been described as made of glass by more than one performance engine builder. Probably why there are more than a couple that make custom blocks.

This is a common misconception. The tranny is a bad as the driver is. So basically if you dont treat it right, it will blow around 350hp.

The reason why those motors blow at 350hp zen is because the idiots try to boost them without properly building the motor. Most of the ones i've seen have leaned out and failed catostrophically.

Ahh the STi. Nice car

I was trying to keep up with a modified STi on friday. Felt like I was driving a GA16 car again.

and JFYI he's talkin about the EJ25 not the EJ20.
