I would assume the price would be up there with the 360. Around $399.

I'll wait till it's actually out to judge gameplay...specs aren't usually the tell-all in gaming performance.

I really am taking some distance from the 'stock' ps3 controller. Hopefully there will be an option to get something that is shaped like the ps2.

I'm not really into wireless controllers, so I hope the PS3 doesn't have any. I'll probably be buying a 360 core system just to get a wired controller. Aside from the obvious issue with batteries, wireless controllers are mostly hit and miss with where you have to sit and whether the controller must be directly pointed at the console. I haven't seen any leaping improvements in wireless controller capabilities over the last couple years, so I suspect it's still a technology to stay away from. Oh yeah, and did I mention the issue with batteries? Just for that alone, I'll take a wired controller. Why keep paying and paying to keep a controller in batteries and play a system. Games are expensive enough......

If it was to come out the same day as the Xbox360? Yeah, it will be well over $500. Dont forget most of it isnt even built yet. Give it a year or two, (less then two most likely) to see how it turns out. Personally I dont think Id get it, though I dont think I want the XBox360 either, but I currently like it more then the PS3.

Edit - And Zen.. Ever try Logitech Wireless controllers? They are really great. I had the same batteries in mine for over 2 months, every day playing, rechargable. If made right, they are worth it.
