Fastbrakes Big Brake Kits?

Since several project cars are using these kits- how is the performance? I have heard that these kits are prone to squealing at low speeds. Have any of the project cars experienced this?

The pads need to held more firmly in place to prevent
the low speed squealing. You can put pressure on the
inside of the pads to push them up against the
pistons firmer by putting a spring over the cotter
pin to push out on the pads....also, use plenty of
the anti squeal stuff on the backing plates.

People seem to forget that big brake setups are really intended for racing type applications. Wilwood calipers are designed to allow for quick pad replacement not really for luxury

Yes. Although you can expect that the factory Brembos on some cars (e.g. 350Z Track, G35SC 6MT) have had the required attention to detail paid by Nissan/Brembo to make them suitable for street use.

I am happy with my fastbrakes setup... they are not noisy at all....you get some chatter after very high speed stops but the performance is great...i definitely recommend the wilwood pads over any EBC pad though.....

Yes, this happens to me somewhat. But for me it happens as I launch. What MYoung said about the spring is a good idea.
