I do not really recall if we drove the car long engouh before we did the pulley, but what you are saying does make a lot of sense.
I ordered an Impulse Mechanisms pully today which weighs the same as the UR. I'de like to do a dyno before, after, and a few weeks after if time and sources allow. Our ECUs are showing that they take a lightyear and a half to adjust to newer mods so it ran through my mind. I would think knocking over 3.5 lbs on the crank pulley would have had more significant dyno gains. I guess since the BSR has been done now and is not easily (if at all reversable) we may never know on that particular car.

I'd be interested to see the results if you did that. At this point my cost/benefit function is telling me not to do the pulley for just 1 HP. I'm saving up for a lightened flywheel, which I understand frees up considerably more rotating mass between the crank and the wheels.
Which reminds me--is the clutch/flywheel on plan for the Project Spec?

Also, BTW a lightyear and a half is a measure of distance, not time.

Can't wait for the update!
The layoff has been a mixed blessing. On the one hand, I'm psyched to see what they do next on the project; on the other hand, I've had a few months off from spending big money on the Spec.

underive pully isn't on your list..even though it didn't provide much of a gain. However maybe like the BSR the ECU hadn't fully adjusted to it yet?

Anyways, I'd like to see the results of a lightned flywheel, because that may be the next thing as far as performance goes.

sorry didn't see it on your list. Whammie put the SWA on the spec which is 2 less HP then the UR pully and .2 ft lbs tq. Do you know what kinda gains that you achived with your pully?

I'm also finding it hard to believe that any more weight could be shaved off, they're all super lightweight as it is.
