I dont know too much about Turbo Setups, but I was just wondering, will this turbo work on a Automatic 200sx? And will that decrease performance? (drastically)

yea I thought the project was a AUTO???? oops AND I was thinking about SWAPING from the looks of things I might as well jsut stay with my lil engine and turbo it. I was wondering what is STAGE II gonna exists off I really want to get something going with performance with my car any release dates on the turbo and the setups a person like me can run????

honetly i was looking to buy a ex sickvic when i purchased my 200... i became very disapointed after a few months of looking for good upgrades to add some true spice to my ride...and to be quit honest i would gladly scrap all my elcheapo add ons and blow my whole tax return to abtain the hs tubo kit based on your hints of the performance gains that this kit will provide...I cant wait to read the next installment of npm to see how much closer the prototype is coming to its production stage...Two kits avilable for the masses that have other priorities"baby girl, food, shelter, and clothing"is also a very nice option...Thanx for all the effort that you and anyone else involed in this venture has taken to help bring use "the nissan loyal, Im now included since iv had my car close to 3 yrs with several chances to trade off" to a level were we can perform with the overrated car brands, and yes soon beat their best offerings...Again THANK YOU...

If only i knew there was a TURBO comming out for the GA16DE i just spend 10000$ putting a DET in my car to found out there gone be a turbo make for my old engine, would save me a lot of money and trouble. Since i found out am a little disapointed with my SR20DET yes it fast very fast may i say but for 10000$ it's a lot of money. Well too bad i can't wait to see the spec of the GA16DE-T.

so, it feels like im asking this for the millionth time, with a stock automatic tranny and the stage 1 turbo kit, what would i have to do the tranny so it will hold up? do i really have to give up 2-3 gs to level for a complete tranny or just get the torque converter? please i really need to know this cause its been bugging me since i found out that the hs turbo will be mass produced.

Well, like we've been telling you, no one knows. To my knowledge no one here has a car with the stock automatic tranny making that much power. Your best solution would probably be to call a place like Level 10 and ask their opinion.

As far as I know, I'm the only person that has a really modded a/t Sentra. I believe someone on the boards has a N2O setup on a a/t Sentra though. I think that our trannys *should * be able to handle the Stage 1&2 HS kits. I guess I'll know after I put it all together and try it out after I get the Stage 1. I would at least get a higher stall converter. My next move with my tranny is a valve body shift kit from Level 10.

Ya know....this torque converter thing is much bigger a PITA than I expected!! When I was on vacation in Atlanta, I found a Nissan shop selling one for 125 (core charge included). I figure, this is NYC, so I should get it cheaper.....everyone wants 200 and up....plus no one wants to sell without a core. PITA if you ask me.

Stromung Exhaust

Hey Mike,

I just read that project 200sx is now equipped with the Stromung Exhaust. How is the set up and quality compared to the set-up that was on there before (especially the muffler. think you had the ac revolution on there before). I've got the HS Headers already and looking to do the whole exhaust. I just need some advice as to what route I should go and get some feedback from those who already have it installed.

Oh yeah, I've got an auto tranny. Dyno Max Power at 79.8 in second gear, from R&D Dyno Service. Sucks huh. IN NEED OF MORE POWER!!!

The Stromung setup is great... probably the best GA exhaust on the market right now.. real quality stuff!...much quieter than the previous exhaust setup we were running..

off topic, but...

ga16denismo,

wow, you're just barely making 80 hp in second gear with your automatic? good god. that's much more than the expected 25 percent loss through automatic drive train inefficiences. what's the deal? and in a FWD car. i don't get it. i ask again, is there a way to make an automatic tranny perform better without going with, say, a level 10 system?

it goes to show we definitely need a build-up for automatics. there has to be a way to make autotragics faster!!
