well actually no it wouldn't be the same... The gains would be different ... As you know the auto tranny sucks up the HP.. so if a completly stock GA16DE 5 speed puts 90hp down at the wheels,, you can bet the auto is less... Actually auto tranny project cars are rare for this reason..... did you ever dyno your auto GA?
No, I never did...I just always knew it wasnt real fast. So no real reason. And if you want.I can return the car to stock... Wouldnt those articles be cake to write..hmmmmmmm

i wouldn't mind seeing a 4 door b13 1.6 manual all motor. a lot of people have these cars, and a lot of them are wanting all motor! i think this would be a great thing.
so, mr. young, how much power does an automatic lose over a manual? i know an auto can lose up to 25 percent through drive train losses, but can you give us an idea of the real base power differences between autos and manuals? and are there ways to make up for those differences? any idea how many auto owners are out there, too? i'd figure a fair amount, so the auto 1.6 would be killer.

I haven't started my turbo install yet... I have almost all the parts (everything has been ordered, just not received) and the engine is stock for now.
You guys can use it as a project to fully build a motor and I'll supply the car, motor and all the turbo parts!! Sounds like a plan!

Id like to see a RWD USDM platform used, that leaves us with what.. S chassis, Z chassis, and D(truck) chassis, possible a classic like a 510(that would be cool as well, but rare), did I forget any?
D chassis are all over the place and easy/cheap to get comparred to some of the other USDM RWD options.

Different is good, and a truck would deffnitly be different.
the usefullness of a six foot bed would make it one hell of a parts(ass?) hauler.

How 'bout something like absolutely nuts like a VG in a B14?
On the serious side I'd like to see the Auto GA thing too, simply b/c when you're out there shopping for parts for this car and you tell them it's an auto you get quite a bit of the naysayers... often the response is 'sell your car' or 'what's the point'. In my oppinion this keeps along the lines of Project 200SX... and the GA16DE in general.
actually id like to see the all motor b15 myself , i mean if you really need one i can let you use mine. all i got on it is aem cai, catback, and groundcontrol co. but ill take them all off for you....hehehe....even if you dont use mine id like to see the b15 use just to give me some useful info.....
