The car cost $1100. This car will be nauturally aspirated. Hotshot CAI, Hotshot header, catback exhaust, UR pullies, JWT computer, JWT cams, JWT flywheel, JWT clutch, and whatever else we can find.

Which cat-back are you planning on using Greddy, HKS or custom. Why not go with the Place Racing cai it's very popular with the se-r guys, just curious...

We are looking at Stomung for the cat back or a custom made one. We decided on Hotshot for the CAI because we have always been happy with the results from their dyno tested products. As for the exterior we are looking towards the stillen body kit. We want to keep it on the simple side so we don't attract too much attention from the police. We like the stock body lines with a little extra hear and there. We are going for a clean look that will appeal to most people on the streets old or young.

This project was an awesome idea. I had one big grin on me when I first saw the picture of that thing. Good job

Thanks, we thought it would be a great thing to get back to some of the basics. Will be testing all the parts and let you know which parts really work and how well they do. We won't be going with the expensive turbo route on this project.

Talking Suggestion!

I vote that you live up to the name "Project Beater SE-R" and keep the fender trim!

hahaha figure Wes would come up with something like that....lol

I believe those things were hardly on long enough for Mike to take pictures....

What Mike was saying to exactly what we talked about... a lot of our projects maybe be getting out of reach for a few kids or new comers... or they are new cars like the Z or 3.5 Altima etc..... So our idea was to start from scratch with a cheap car and add all the normal bolt ons ,,, an average Joe sort of begining... I'm sure as time goes by.. this will be quite a respectable and fast Classic SE-R..

I'm with wes, why not run with it? Add a chain steering wheel, then maybe some little tires that stick out of the wheel wells.

What do you have planned for the suspension, and what wheel/tire combo are you going with. Also any cosmetic plans in the works such as the mex tsuru headlights, carbon fiber hood etc...

We will be using Eibach Sportline springs with Motivational shortened struts and Koni bumpstops. We want the car to ride good. We just got a Fiberimages carbon fiber hood for it. We would also like to put in the Tsuru headlights and tint the rear lights all red. Haven't decided on what type of slight body kit to put on. The car will get new paint in about a year.
