article idea

I wouldn't mind reading an article pertaining to bodywork on nissans. Since rust is a major problem as the cars get older. Finding an old car to work on shouldn't be a problem, and just like to know about common problemswhat to look for when fixing up a car and how to increase structial ridget from stock. Just an idea thanks.

So your are from Nova Scotia? That is supposed to be the worst area in North America for rust. Nissan goes their to study rust.

Are you an expert on this subject? We are not we are basied in california and cars don't rust here. If you are an expert, you are welcome to submit an article about this.

Mike

Ouch, I know all about the curse of the NX rust. Let me guess- besides the usual fenders and door jams, under the rear speaker cover by the strut tower... Even perfectly decent looking NX's seem to develop it there. You'd have to weld in new sheet metal or a replacement piece I think. If you really come up with a fix, definitely write an article! I know of many NX owners (and others I'm sure) who would love to get rid of this problem. Take some good before and after pics, including documenting the entire process, even getting info like typical temps during summer and winter, humidity readings, and especially road conditions in winter. For instance, here, salt is a big cause for the rust. Some states use salt, others use sand or charcoal ash-like granules for snow. The salt states tend to have rustier cars... Anyways, it'd be a great article. If we had the time to take it on, I'm sure we would!
