Hey guys,
I was wondering the cam profile of the regular JWT cams vs the turbo JWT cams. What exactly did JWT change from the original? Is the lift duration higher? are the lobes bigger? also is it made of the same material? and how does it feel on the turbo car once you installed it in?
and when will it be available?

All I know is that while waiting for my ecu (it's been 2 mos. already!!!!) I also had the cams ordered as well. After the July issue of npm came out, I called up JWT (to find out when the hell my ecu would be done, they hadn't even started it yet!) and they said the turbo cams weren't available and probably wouldn't be available for at minimum a few months.
This kinda pissed me off, so I canceled order on the cams to wait until the turbo cams become available and then at that time send in my ecu for the retune.

They decrease the overlap in the turbo cams. Overlap is not suited for a turbo application, good for NA.
Alright, most of the turbo guys go with S3 or S4 cams (which can also be used if you're NA). These cams have been out for quite some time. What turbo cams are you guys talking about?
P.S. This is in relation to the SR20, right?

These have recently been prototyped (not available to public yet). Harris81 you're right, the S3, S4, C1 cam profiles have been out for quite sometime for the 2.0L.
According to CLark they will have new turbo cams that include intake and exhaust cams for turbo applications. They will be produced the same way the NA cams are from blank billets. They should be the same price as the NA cams and will be avail. in about 5 weeks give or take.
Ahhh..should've been more specific..I meant to ask about the 1.6L turbo cams. The installed it on Project 200sx just recently.
I was wondering exactly how the 1.6L Turbo cams differed from the 1.6NA Cams that JWT sells.

As James stated. They have less duration which translates into less overlap. IIRC they revised the exahsut cam only on Mike's car, they may alter the intake cam for the production pieces but we will have to see.
As for lift the JWT cams do not have much morelift than the stockers, they make their gaisn using duration and overlap. Thus lift is not a huge issue.
