The new Nissan GT-R Track Edition made its U.S. debut today at the 2013 Chicago Auto Show showcasing a vehicle thatís as close to a competition spec vehicle as you can get.
The GT-R Track Edition is specially designed for drivers who like to wring out every bit of performance out of a car, and features no excess weight or luxuries. It has no back seat, a stiffer suspension setup, better bolstered seats and additional brake cooling, all perfect changes for those who plan on taking the 545-hp GT-R to its limits.
Thanks to vigorous testing at the famous Nurburgring test track in Germany, the GT-R Track Edition gets special Bilstein DampTronic gas pressure shock absorbers as well as higher spring rates. The Track Editionís additional brake cooling were also refined through track testing.

Nissan also detailed some of the changes that all 2014 GT-Rs will have, like improved throttle response in the mid-to-high rpm ranges thanks to new fuel injectors, and an oil pan baffle which will help stabilize oil pressure under high performance driving conditions.
