Lowering my Skyline also rim and exhaust suggestions?

I recently picked up a legal 1995 R33 GTS-T skyline that is completely bone stock. I am wondering what my options are for lowering it for the moment. I have found the TEIN Super Race coil overs but for now I don't want to spend 2500 bucks on lowering the car a few inches. I realize these would be great and would help handling immensely but that isnt in my budget right now. The car looks afraid of the pavement at the moment though.

I was also wondering what types of rims people would recommend that would have enough dish on the outside to sit flush with the side of the car because at the moment it has stock rims and tires and they sit back in the wheel well a bit. Also I am think of somewhere in the 18" - 19" range.

Also where is a good place to get exhaust. I purchased a Silvia a few years back (which I subsequently have for sale right now) that has an RB25 in it and 3" exhaust to the back. That thing sounds amazing when I start it up but of course the skyline with the same motor and stock exhaust sounds like an altima when you start it up. Is there a good company I can go with to get everything from that is bolt-on for the skyline to give the car a nice sound and get some more horsies out of that engine?

Thanks for any help.

Greg

I can't remember but i think 19'' might push it. You might have to mod the wheel well to fit that.

id go with 17's or 18's but 18's are gonna be a tight fit, 19's will need some modding...

as for exhuast im sure there are a ton of options to choose from just depends on what company you want to brag about having on your car...

for suspension i suggest getting good stuff or not getting anything at all.,.... why spend 1000 on something that you wont be happy with, and end up spending another 2500 to be happy, with that other 1000 you could upgrade your brake system

Ok well thanks for the suggestions guys. 18's don't seem to work too bad on the car as it had some IMAX stagger wheels on it with some pretty good size tires when I bought the car so I don't think they will be an issue. I will set my sights on 18's then.

With the suspension can I just get some replacement coils for now or are my only options the full set up through tein.

you could prolly get coils but your struts wouldnt hold up for long... as much as its bothering you how the cars stance is "afraid of the ground" waiting will make it worth that much more
