Just wanted to say hi!
I'm joining this forum as an owner of a new 2005 Pathfinder. Prior to that I owned a 2004 Titan, and before that a 2002 Xterra. I'm in California, north of San Francisco.
My Xterra was a great car - never a problem. Took it 4 wheeling, camping, to the snow - always great. It was just too small for a family of 4 with a dog!
So I bought a Titan. In the 9 months I owned it I had it towed 3 times, the brakes were worked on 2 times, it sat on the lot waiting for backordered parts for 14 days, plus numerous other minor complaints like rattles, squeeks, and creaks - it was a piece of crap that we were afraid to take anywhere!
So, I decided to give Nissan another chance, and got a new pathfinder. (I know - financially stupid!) My wife and I took it on trip up the Northern California coast. About 80 miles from home, with 207 miles on the odometer, up on Hwy 1 we stopped at a restroom. As we got ready to leave, when we shifted into reverse, we heard a metalic clink under the shifter, below the plastic cover and console. Oh no...
While the shifter would move back and forth through the gates/notches, the transmission was stuck in gear - we were dead in the water. Had to get it towed! The dealer was great; rather than order the parts and make me wait they took them off another pathfinder on the lot!!
Anyway, I'm gonna be optimistic. That's the only major problem I'll have with this Nissan, right!? Prior to this forum, I was a member of Titantalk, a Titan forum. Lots of good stuff in these forums; lots of helpful information. So, hello, and sorry for such a long introduction!
