New and need ur advice....urgent...

This is Raj. I am from Melbourne, Australia.well, as u can see, i am new to this forum and am expecting a lot of valuable information from this forum.
As of now, I am planing to buy a used car....1989 Nissan Pulsar..its done 100000kms...ohh yeah..and its a sedan....Its got RWC and rego till mid-next year...and its a female owner....What do u think about it? What r the things I need to check before I say "yes" to the deal...?
I had bought this 1994 Hyundai Lantra a month ago...and damn it..I had problems in the car from day 1...I finally sold that car and had a loss of $700..I don't want to make the same mistake again as I am student and cannot really afford any further losses....Pls lemme know ur valuable suggestions by this weekend as thats when I am going to have a look at the car....
