XTERRA'02 Hesitation & lost of power

My XTERRA’02 has developed a bit of hesitation & lost of power lately. This only happens when I star it up the first time after is cold.

Here's what's going on... Start it up cold after sitting for a while (not necessarily cold weather) - - starts and idles fine. After is warmed when I step on the gas, engine bogs slightly and threatens to stall slightly. I can feel it specially when I’m pulling the boat or the trailer. This can happen the all day if I don’t turn it off (running for several hours).

But if I turn it off (after it’s warmed) for 15 to 20 minutes and start it again, no problems arise and hesitation-power lost disappear for the all day or night.

This has been happening for the last 3 to 4 months and getting worse. I feel like one day it won’t come back to normal operation.

MANUAL SHIFT- 4X2
55,000 MILES (NO TUNE UP PERFORMED)
ENGINE LIGHT: OFF
GAS: MID OCTANE (89)
NOISES: NO

I have checked all connection, change air filter and oil/filter changes regularly. Nothing looks loose.

Please I need some help before the dealer rips me off.

try premium gas 90 and above octane
