Hello fellow Nissan drivers,
I've owned my 95 Nissan XE pickup for almost 10 years now. It's been one of the most reliable vehicles I've ever owwned. I'm far from being a mechanic, but I actually enjoy doing some of the minor maintenance like changing the motor oil, ignition parts, brake pads, ect.
An interesting thing happenned the last time I changed the oil. I was underneath the p/u and I noticed that there was a broken suspension part. It turned out to be one of the brackets that holds the stabilizer bar to the frame. I searched around like crazy to try to find a replacement but I couldn't find
just the bracket. I started searching wrecking yards but I still couldn't find an actual Nissan bracket. At the last wrecking yard I tried the owner suggested that I use a bracket from a different car (a Ford or something) and modify it to fit my truck. The bracket I ended up using was much beefier than the original and just a tad bit smaller too. It was a real pain in the a** to install but after some work with a drill and hammer I finally got it in there without stripping any threads. Now there's way less vibration when I hit the freeway but I think I might still have a slightly bent rim.

Oh well, nothing's ever perfect in my life, but I love this truck!
Take care and see y'all around the forums,
Ben
