New Member ForumFor newbie introductions & questions regarding the forums Technical and vehicle questions should be asked in the appropriate section below
Hi, I'm a newby, and I recently posted a question. Since I thought it would get better visibility and therefore answered quickly or by a wider variety I posted it under "quest" since it's specifically a quest question. Then I repharased it and posted it under general, because it really was a pretty general question. I went back to see if anybody responded, and it had been moved from general to who knows where? Why and where is it? I don't get it? Was I doing something wrong? I don't want to be a bad forum member, but I am still somewhat new at this, so maybe I was breaking an unspoken rule. can somebody give me a clue? I'll come back and see what your responses are later (fi this doesn't get moved).
click on your username, and then see all posts by facarelli, that will show you all the posts you have ever made... seems as if the general one got deleted

The reason we don't want the same post in multiple sections is that it makes it harder to find information by searching the archives. We read hundreds of posts a week, and the moderators move threads to areas where they feel a person's questions are most likely to be answered based on our experience with NF.
For example, if you want to find information about a Maxima, the best place to look is in the Maxima sections, not in General. We make sure that new threads go where they belong regardless of where they were originally posted. Of course, it makes our job easier if the original poster puts it in the best location.
