Question willing

Recently I took my Nissan Sentra 2004 to the distributor for the 5000 kilometer maintenance. In less than an hour the car was returned to me with the entire engine completely sprayed with some sort of penetrating oil, including the alternator, distributor and all the wiring. Actually, oil was dripping from everything in the engine compartment. Is this normal procedure?

Actually, they call it "engine dressing." This is like armorall for the engine. In my opinion this shit should never be used! If it gets into certain places, like the distributor cap, it can cause serious problems. Next time tell them not to spray that stuff on the engine. Oh, and make sure they DO NOT wash the engine. Water down in the spark plug holes causes all sorts of problems.
