Nissan quest Lighting Problem.

Ok to make this very long story short i will start like this.

Model 95 quest.

I have a short somewhere in the exterior lighting (running lights) When you turn the lights on they work fine for around 10 minutes but then the fuse blows. I have disconnected every bulb and still have a short. I have now taken the dash off looking for the short. There is a connector that looks similar to fuse but isn't(it's green). it has 4 connectors on one side and six on the other . The 4 are having continuity and the 6 do also but the 4 and the 6 don't have continuity together. When this connector is removed the tail lights are no longer shorted. All the dash components are removed the only thing I can find in the wiring diagram is a time control module that is still connected is it possible that this is shorted ????

Your help is greatly appreciated.

PS the wife gets home Monday and I should hope her van will be drivable
