im in mi and looking to get a car imported from jdm or uk but, i have no real info and keep getting the run around on total prices from every site ive been to. does anyone know how much it will cost? please dont guess because if its reasonable im going to do it or if not the whole car, can the car pass without a motor. (rhd) then a sr put in to it later maybe?

well, you can buy a 200SX in the states. as far as RHD goes, i believe the headlights have to be modified to aim the other direction (so you dont blind people in the oncoming lane)
SR20's are readily available in the states as well, if you want an SR20DET (factory turbocharged motor), you're best bet is JGYCustoms.com.

if you get a LHD 200sx, as long as a RHD 200sx was made, you should be able to do a conversion. search the site a bit, opium (forum member) did a RHS conversion in an '89 240sx. if you want, he can get the front clip from a RHD car too. it wont be cheap, (upwards of $5000 if you do none of the work yourself) but it'll definately be cheaper than importing a car and having it legalized.
