hey fellas,im new to all of this but catch on quik,anyway i was just wondering if any 1 has encounted this problem before,i own a 92 180 sx,its got a boost controller,boost gauge,3in dump pipe,hks pod and 3inch exhaust,now it runs ok on 8-10psi,try 11-12 it starts dentonating,ive only got a factory intercooler but that shouldnt matter any way,ive had the oxygen sensor checked,knock sensor,ems cheked but everythings ok,i had a problem before with the factory blowoff valve not relesing properly and there fore it wouldnt run any more than 8psi but thats ficked could it affected this problem in any way if any 1 has had this problem before and knowes how to fix it any help would greatly thanked cheers benny

I wouldn't call myself an expert, but you could try colder spark plugs and higher octane gas. That might help your problem.

I concur. Lowering your boost will prevent it too as the cylinder's internal pressure will be lower, therefore less combustable. But that's kind of defeating the purpose isn't it
