Coming full-circle....

My last Nissan was the legendary 1971 Datsun 510 coupe and I'm coming back around to the Nissan Sentra Se-R Spec-V. Having test-driven just about every sub-compact performance car under $20K, the Spec-V is superior in just about every way.

My question: I'm 58 years old and don't want to trick out whatever Spec-V I may end up with. Does the 2.5 liter engine hold up over the long haul? I tend to thrash my cars and the Spec-V will be no exception.

Your opinions are greatly appreciated.

some specs get abused and last forever... some get babied and fall apart... most people say stay away from an 02, but my 02 is running in top shape... if your looking at an 04, most of the bugs should be out of the "new" engine by now.. good luck!!!
