96 Nissan Pickup Problem w/ fuel pump?
I have had this pickup for about 2 years and have never really had a problem till now. It's a 96 Nissan Pickup, 4wd, 4cyl. manual tran. It has about 103,000 miles on it. When I let off the clutch and start to accelerate it goes but kinda hesitates for a second or two giving me a low muffling kinda sound and then really takes off. It doesn't happen very often but when it does it seems to happen in the lower gears. I thought it might be the fuel filter so I replaced it. It ran really good for a day but then the problem showed up again. Now I think it might have something to do with the fuel pump. Just recently the check engine light went on but I've always had trouble with that. It just comes on everynow and then. I don't know very much about this kinda stuff so if anyone knows what the problem might be please help!!! Thanks!
