newbie with a 92 nissan se1.6l

I currently have a nissan se 1.6l with 156,000mi
I want to do an engine swap with something a little bigger

I was thing maybe the ser20de(sp?) which comes out the nissan se-r
im 18 and don't have a lot of money to spend so i would have to buy an entire car from a junk yard with the lowest miles i could find.

does this sould like a plan
also is the ser20de the only other engine that would fit into my se or is their other engines that would fit right in without major modification.

thanks a lot
ryan

hey your first post is flamin this kid?Thats kinda fucced up.He was just wondering if the SR20DE is any good for him is all.And to answer the original question better yes its going to make good power but it is going to cost quite a few dollars to do.I would suggest just modding your GA you can get it turboed for the price of the swap you wanted to do.

maxed out max, this is the New Member section, where new members who would like to learn about things ask their newbie questions. Therefore this is a "flame-free" zone. Starting your first post with flaming someone is not a good start, much less doing so in the New Member section.

There's no need for this type of nonsense. Don't make any more posts like this or you'll be gone.

Thumbs up Swap engine

Why don't u just do optimized your engine, GA16DE is a potential engine. I did have take this project (Nissan Sentra 91) and I raised the HP to 158 and it took 16.5 second for 1/4 miles at sentul, Jakarta, Indonesia with 36 degree of Celcius temperature!!!. It's all stock part, only doing some good basic engine and a little setting. Right now it was NOS bolt on and increase my power to 230 HP!!! and 15,4 second for 1/4 miles at sentul. Please reconsider it again and also my experience project. Best regard from Jakarta.
