1994 sentra heater blows cold

I recently bought a 1994 Nissan Sentra and the heater blows cool air until you rev it up then the air warms up, also the temp guage doesn't budge. I was wondering if it may be a thermostat staying open, it is -38 w/ windchill right now so it's expected not to be overly hot but it should at least heat that lttle car. Any info would help alot thanks.

Or it could be that your ele. fan is constantly running, but my vote is the 'stat
is stuck open.

thanks i actually picked one up today so i'll be trying it a.s.a.p, i checked the fan and it wasn't staying on or anything so we'll see i guess. Thanks for your suggestion.
