Unhappy Injectors or Fuel Pump?

Ok, My 1997 Nissan Maxima with 85,000 miles ran out of gas on the way to the detail shop. The shop says they put about a gallon of gas in it and finished the detail. They did not detail the engine, just the interior. They did shampoo the carpets. Ok, now when I came to pick up the car it started but blew some white smoke and what i thought was raw fuel out of the tailpipe and also idled really rough, just chugging and then would quit. I got the car to run enough and I drove it .5 mile to get more gas, i filled the tank with 10 gallons of gas and all the while the car was blowing white smoke and raw gas out of the tailpipe. I ran for about another .5 mile and died. The car now just starts, idles rough for a minute and then dies. I drained all the gas out of the tank thinking I got bad gas and also changes the spark plugs and fuel filter. The car now wont even idle. The spark plugs seemed really wet with gas. I am trying to think is this an open fuel injector (or a couple because 1 injector wont cause this?) or the computer that runs the injectors or is it a fuel pump? or neither? The only code the check engine lite reads is an oxygen sensor. WHAT DO I DO...HELP PLEASE.. THANKS

Sounds like the car is completely flooded. The o2 sensor is kicking in because it is running so rich.

I'd remove the plugs, put a rag over the holes so they don't get filled with dirt, and let it sit for a few hours so the gas can evaporate.

Unhappy injector or fuel pump?

Thanks for the quick reply. But what is flooding the engine. Someone just told me today that the 02 sensor code in bank 1 going off could mean that 0 2 sensor needs to be replaced. Is it true that the 0-2 sensor controls the flow of the injectors and this is causing the problem? Help..thanks
