How well do the tranny's hold up in early 90's sentra's

I am thinking of buying an early 90's sentra. I would prefer a 5 speed, but will take an automatic if one comes along. The car will probably have at least 100k on the clock. Will i have transmission problems or are they fairly robust?

I don't want to discourage you or anything, but pretty often the transmissions will lose 5th gear. not a big deal unless you plan on doing over 85 MPH. (okay, so it's a big problem) I'd still get it though.

well, I'm not gonna lie, Nissan trannies are not exactly the strongest (at least the FWD ones). I don't think you'll have many problems unless you're planning on major performance upgrades where you're putting out over 250hp. Still, the B13 (91-94 sentra) is still a tough little beater, if it's made it this far w/o problems, it should last you another 100k (with good maintenence).
