Hey, I'm new

Hey

I found these forums in a google search for, you guessed it, nissan forum! I'm restoring a 1974 Datsun 260Z with my father, and we plan on a lot of modifications, including a throttle body conversion and a blower, and blueprinting the engine, but nothing that can't be un-done (except the blueprinting, which will reduce wear and extend engine life). Also, until we do the throttle body conversion, we have the early roundtop carbs in place of the "economy" flat-tops.

Here are some "before" pictures. We'll be starting on it soon.

You guys down south are lucky because you have nice solid rust free old cars. Bring that baby up north and it would be worth a ton of money as it is!

Good luck. I'd love to have a nice rust free Datsun for fixin' up.

Thanks! But it isn't completely rust free. There's rust around the battery box and on the hood, on the quarter panels and the hatch.

1. Using all caps is considered to be yelling.

2. If you have a question not related to this thread, use the "new topic" button. This is completely random and isn't the way to get a response.

3. What's a GEND?

4. Please look around the forums and search before you start asking questions. It's users like you who don't know how to use a forum that require us to have this n00b section.

Good Luck to you and your dad in the restoration of that fabulous ride. Don't forget to post pics of it during the building process and once it gets completed at the member rides section.

Welcome to the Boards!
