bluebird tranny

Hey im building a custom dune buggy type car and im going to use a bluebird engine hopefully. The problem is im not the bluebird master. I need to know if the bluebird tranny is the same as the 91-94 se-r tranny. I dont care about internals. i need to know if i can bolt up a se-r tranny from 91-94 to a bluebird engine. thats all. thanks

John

Welcome to the boards! To answer your question, the se-r tranny is front wheel drive, and the bluebird tranny is all wheel drive. You can definetly bolt the bluebird motor to an se-r tranny fairly easily. In the future, though, please be sure to use the search function because this topic has already been discussed on the forums. Good luck!

The Bluebird, GTi-R, and Avenier sr20det engines will all connect to a sr20de tranny. Like stated above, all these engines come w/ an AWD tranny so don't bother buying the tranny w/ the engine unless you plan on converting to AWD. The Silvia sr20det is RWD so it will NOT fit.
