Exclamation vg30et into 3rd gen maxima !help!

i swapped a jdm vg30et into my maxima. for a while it wa getting a lot of fuel due to the fpr i had being installed wrong. i could get it started but i had to flutter the gas to do so. once i got it around 2000 rpm i could eventually get it to about 3000-3500 rpm or so but it took forever and sounded like it had a hard time running. since then i made absolutely sure the timing is correct and i fixed the fpr problem. now i'm still having the same trouble with it not being able to rev very high. when i changed the timing belt a while back i notice the cams weren't quite lined up with there dots on the case so i fixed whichever cam it was that was off. i put the timing belt on and it lined up fine with the marks on the belt. i'm thinking maybe valve timing is off due to me moving the cam ever so slighty but i'm not sure. i tried starting it today after fixing the fpr and i could get it up to 2000 rpm but it just doesn't want to run. it will idle at a little over 1000 rpm but then die off unless i mess with the throttle a little bit. while running if i keep it at 1500 rpm it will sometimes run extremely smooth and go up to 2000 rpm but then starts to have a hard time running after that. (by having a hard time running i mean it just wants to stay in one place on not rev any more. it sounds restricted and doesn't sound like it is making any power)

here's some info on what i'm doing.
i swapped the jdm vg30et into my maxima. i'm using all maxima sensors, ecu, and distributer. i'm using an apexi s-afc to correct the fuel curve. i have the stock injectors that came with the engine but i'm using a walbro 255 lph high pressure fuel pump. i relocated the turbo to a custom crossover pipe due to space restrictions. i have an aeromotive fpr (because i thought i would need it since i was using the maxima's ecu).

if anyone has any ideas at all that would great! i've been working on this since march and have recently finally been able to attempt to run it but have ran into this problem.

i forgot a major point. my brother said he felt air coming out of the intake (this is before the turbo!) that definately makes me think valve timing or a valve sticking but any opinions/comments would be great.

dang, another forum that i forgot to update.

found out it was my front exhaust manifold. it was designed differently than i had thought so when i had the stock turbo flange sealed up it actually blocked all exhaust flow instead of redirecting it to the crossover pipe. to fix it, the stock flange had to be cut off and from there my dad took the cutting torch and took out a bunch of metal from the inside so it would flow somewhat smoothing over to the crossover pipe.

basically, we changed the manifold design from this:

to this:

once we finished that the thing started right up with no hassle at all. it runs sweet now. now all i have to do is toss in the aftercooler that i bought and get my new clutch and fidanza flywheel in because the oem clutch is slipping realy bad.

i bought a g-tech meter and tested it a while back. it said i was pushing about 183 hp to the wheels. i have no clue how accurate that is since that would about be perfectly 215 hp at the crank with 15% drivetrain loss, however, i should be pulling more than that since 215 is how much it should be pulling stock and i have quite a few upgrades that should put it over that number. i'll try getting it on a real dyno sometime with the new clutch and flywheel to see what i'm really pulling.

another big thing i need to get worked out is the ecu. there's a guy up in canada who's attempting to reprogram my ecu but we're having minimal success right now. for some reason we can't seem to find a fuel map setup that keeps it from running really rich. right now i'm using the stock ecu and i'm attempting to keep it from running extremely rich by using an apex'i s-afc but its not doing too much. hopefully we can figure that out pretty soon.

but yeah, it is running now and its a blast to drive. you can check out my cardomain site for some pictures and info and whatnot. http://members.cardomain.com/mtcookson

oh yeah, also there are some sound clips on the first page of my cardomain site. its a bit hard to hear the turbo but in the second you can hear it somewhat. when i turn up the boost it should be more noticeable.

Probably the MAF or injectors are not compatable with your ECU. You are using the stock ECU that came with your car with th turbo injectors and MAF right?

its all working right now. i am using the turbo injectors with the stock ecu. it does run a bit rich but i'm offsetting that a little bit by using an apexi s-afc 2. there's a guy up in canada who's trying to reprogram my ecu but we're having a bit of trouble right now. hopefully we can sort it out soon because i need my gas mileage back, lol.
