Intake and exhaust for 240sx

How much does a good intake cost for a 240sx? What is a good exhaust for a 1992 240sx? My car is pretty much straight piped from the catalytics and back.

A good intake for just about any car will lighten you in the neighborhood of $200. There is a plethora of exhausts for the S13, but I'm a fan of the APEX'i N1 system myself. If you want something a little more toned-down, the 5Zigen Border III is a nice exhaust. Nice tone, decent gains, but quite a bit quieter than the N1 (or most exhausts for that matter).

We consider an intake the piping from the air filter all the way to the intake manifold... you could find one on ebay for MUCH cheaper than 200. But yea if you want a nice one it will be around there. As far as exhaust goes... I would suggest buying a really nice muffler and taking your car and muffler to a muffler shop and have him make you an exhaust. It is cheaper this way... just make sure he makes the pipes with manderal bends! :-p

Cat-Back exhaust systems vary in quality and price. For a full stainless steel cat-back, your looking at about $600- $700 retail price. For a cheap (lasts about 2 years) sport exhaust (ie: pacesetter), you could spend about $250. If you are looking to get stainless steel, and really make a good exhaust system, get a new catalytic convertor also, and if your planning on keeping the KA24, a header would help out. with an intake, header, cat, and cat-back exhaust, you would have a very nicely tune KA24DE, but on good parts, it'll cost you about $1,500.
